Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL)

EXtensible Business Reporting Language, or XBRL, is an XML-based language for the electronic transmission of business and financial data. The use of this technology provides benefits in the preparation, uploading, and analysis of financial data. The SEC has recently required companies to prospectively make certain portions of their periodic SEC filings available in XBRL format.

The information in a raw XBRL file is designed to be uploaded to a database. Therefore, an XBRL viewer is needed to view the information in a traditional format. The various XBRL exhibits are displayed in their native file format and provide users the ability to import them into their XBRL viewer of choice.
